Charleston Home Inspector notes improper grade on new home
This home is only a few years old but as you can see the builder incorrectly graded the lot on this side of this Charleston home. The grade is actually tilted toward the door in the garage causing the rotted door jambs and moisture entry into the garage. Yes that is actually a dandelion growing from the accumulation of debris in front of the threshold! Too bad there's very little that can be done to correct this situation and it'll continue to be problematic throughout the life of this home. Don't get cheap! A home inspection is a good idea even for brand new homes. Call Blue Palmetto Home Inspection today!
