Dig This
Are you thinking about doing some digging around your new Charleston Lowcountry home? A new flower bed or maybe you'd like a nice privacy fence on your new home. Well...... dig this....... DON'T DO IT...... not until you've called 811. You see that's the number for PUPS. AKA Palmetto Utility Protection Service. It's Free! And it's the law. There are hefty fines for damaging utilities. It's the responsibility of the contractor or home owner who is actually doing the digging. Remember to call at least three days in advance. For more info. see https://sc811.com/ Don't let your home turn into the towering inferno; call 811 before you dig. Let them come out and mark the location of your utilities.
Have you ever wondered what the different colored markings mean?
