Yes there is...first be aware that most roofing contracts are worded so that they are responsible for replacing the roof covering only. They may not replace existing flashing. This is important because if the existing flashing was done improperly the first time it may not be corrected with the new roof. The reason for this practice is because many times flashing is installed behind siding materials which must be removed and reinstalled after correctly flashing the area. Siding sometimes is difficult to remove and raises the bid price for the job. This prices them out of the market. This is common problem on half gables and gable roofs that intersect walls. Be sure to ask your roofer about this and make sure you get a warranty against leaks.
